It is important to us to support our local community, which is why we are so excited about contributing to the new Berglund Center. Located in the heart of Roanoke City, the center formerly known as the Roanoke Civic Center, has been our area's major hub for live entertainment and sporting events for many years. It has created fun memories for the people who live throughout Southwest Virginia.
One of the things our team wanted to incorporate was something that was an iconic symbol of our great city and region. We thought the star was that symbol.
The Berglund Center will continue to be Western Virginia's premiere full-service facility, featuring a 10,500-seat Coliseum, which will soon have brand new seats, a 2,151-seat Performing Arts Theatre that will soon be refurbished with wall-to-wall new carpeting, and completely refurbished 14,000 square-foot Exhibit Hall along with a 46,000 square-foot Special Events Center. The marquees are being upgraded and the outside of the building will receive the care it needs to shine once again.
It is our intention at Berglund Automotive to work collaboratively with the Berglund Center and the City of Roanoke to ensure that the best entertainment venue in our area continues to create lasting memories for the patrons it serves.
